Find your Spotify URI (before and after release)

Copy your Spotify artist, album or track URI from the app once you're live, or ask us for it before release day. Works for other stores' IDs too.

A Spotify URI is the unique code Spotify gives every artist, album and track. You'll need it to land your music on the right profile, to claim Spotify for Artists, and for pre-save or playlist campaigns. How you get it depends on whether your music is live yet.

If your music is already on Spotify

Use the Spotify desktop app (not the web player):

  1. Click the three dots next to the artist name, album or track.

  2. Hover over Share.

  3. Hold down Option (Mac) or Alt (Windows).

  4. Click Copy Spotify URI.

Got a link instead? A Spotify link and a URI share the same ID. Only the start is different:

  • URI: spotify:artist:EXAMPLE

  • Link: https://open.spotify.com/artist/EXAMPLE

So you can turn one into the other by swapping the start.

If your music isn't live yet

We can get your Spotify URI, and IDs from other stores, before release day. Your release must have been delivered to the store first, so ask once it's on its way. Message us with:

  • the UPC of your release

  • the ISRC, if you need the ID for a specific track

  • which stores you need IDs for

👉 First release? You can also use your URI to claim your profile early. Getting access to Spotify for Artists
